Your mission

As Head of Project Execution (m/f/d), you will take on a key role within our group-wide sales organization. You will build a high-performing, group-wide project management function and ensure the successful execution of our strategic and complex customer projects – from the bidding phase through to project completion.
In this role, you connect commercial customer requirements with operational capabilities and transparent financial project management. Working closely with Sales, Operations, and other key functions, you establish the structures and standards required for successful project execution across the group.

Organization & Leadership

You build a group-wide project management organization with consistent standards, clear responsibilities, and defined decision-making and escalation processes.
At the same time, you lead and further develop the international project management team.

End-to-End Project Management

You take responsibility for the integrated management of strategic and complex customer projects – from acquisition through production and delivery to technical and commercial project completion.
Already during the bidding phase, you work closely with Sales, support complex tenders, and assess feasibility, capacities, timelines, costs, and risks before contract award.
In addition, you ensure a structured handover from Sales to Operations, including clearly defined contractual and project data, delivery schedules, responsibilities, and financial targets.

Project & Capacity Planning

In close coordination with customers and Operations, you coordinate and monitor construction schedules, production plans, and delivery schedules.
You identify capacity constraints and scheduling conflicts at an early stage and actively drive their resolution.

Commercial Performance & Risk Management

You manage project margins, cost forecasts, cash flow, and working capital, ensuring continuous transparency on the financial performance of projects.
Together with Sales and Finance, you establish a structured change and claims management process.

Cross-functional Steering

As a key interface, you coordinate collaboration across Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Procurement, Production, Logistics, and Finance.
You ensure that deviations are consistently addressed, escalated where necessary, and systematically followed up.

Portfolio & Reporting

You establish a group-wide project portfolio with transparent reporting on timelines, capacities, risks, and financial performance.
In addition, you ensure structured project completion and the consistent application of lessons learned.

Your profile

You hold a successfully completed degree in a technical, business, or comparable field and bring several years of experience in managing complex industrial, infrastructure, or plant engineering projects – ideally within an international B2B environment.
You have a proven track record in building and developing project management structures and bring several years of leadership experience.
You have sound knowledge of production and capacity planning, supply chain management, project controlling, and commercial contract management.
You combine an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on results and the ability to lead effectively across functions and countries.
You take a hands-on approach, communicate with confidence and assertiveness, and maintain a clear focus on common goals even in complex projects involving different stakeholder interests.
You are comfortable operating in an international environment and have a strong command of both German and English. Willingness to travel internationally completes your profile.
