Head of Group Accounting, Tax & Consolidation (m/f/d)

Rosenheim, Deutschland, Hybrid
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

As Head of Group Accounting, Tax & Consolidation (m/f/d), you take on a central key function for closing reliability, consolidation and external reporting of the entire group. In doing so, you lead a lean, high-performing group function with high visibility and direct relevance for the CFO, the parent company Viessmann Generations Group (VGG) as well as the key subsidiaries both domestically and internationally.
Your mission: to manage group accounting, HGB consolidation and tax coordination at group level in a reliable, timely and legally compliant manner – while at the same time effectively anchoring group-wide uniform standards, processes and data logic.

Group Accounting & Closing Reliability
  • Group accounting at holding and group level is managed by you independently, ensuring that monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements are available correctly, completely and on time.
  • Along the entire record-to-report process of the group (HB I, HB II, HB III), you secure quality and ensure reliable, audit-proof and management-ready financial information.
  • You consistently ensure that external reporting meets all statutory, regulatory and internal requirements and that relevant closing and reporting information is submitted to VGG on time.
Consolidation & Group Reporting
  • The preparation and further development of the HGB consolidated financial statements lies within your responsibility.
  • Consolidation processes at group level are managed by you independently, ensuring their quality, traceability and adherence to deadlines.
  • You work confidently with LucaNet, systematically further develop consolidation and reporting processes and ensure reliable interfaces between the ISOPLUS data in LucaNet and the group-side requirements in IDL.
  • Beyond this, you ensure that consolidation, reconciliation and reporting logic is applied consistently across all relevant companies.
Standardization, Governance & Quality
  • The group-wide standardization of accounting, consolidation and reporting processes is actively driven forward by you.
  • Together with the subsidiaries, you work towards a consistent application of posting, closing and data logic, creating the foundation for a reliable and consistent data basis.
  • Governance, control and quality processes are continuously further developed by you.
Tax Coordination & Transfer Pricing
  • The coordination of key VAT and income tax matters at group level is your responsibility – in particular corporate income tax, trade tax and VAT.
  • The lead coordination of transfer pricing and TP documentation is taken on by you in close collaboration with external tax advisors.
  • In addition, you ensure that tax requirements are appropriately integrated into accounting, consolidation and reporting processes.
Leadership, Interfaces & Further Development
  • A small, high-performing group function is led by you with a clear focus on quality and performance.
  • Closely, you work together with group controlling, local finance managers and subsidiaries, actively contributing to cross-functional projects.
  • As the central point of contact, you serve the CFO, subsidiaries, tax advisors and auditors.

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced leadership personality with strong expertise in group accounting, HGB consolidation and group-wide standardization competence.

Experience & Background
  • You bring several years of relevant professional experience in group accounting, consolidated financial reporting or an audit-related environment with a strong focus on HGB.
  • A degree with a focus on accounting, finance or financial reporting – or a comparable qualification – has been successfully completed by you.
  • Solid leadership experience is part of your background, ideally in a lean, group-level finance function.
  • Experience in international, decentralized company structures at the interface between holding company and subsidiaries distinguishes you.
  • A background in a family office, PE or comparably shareholder-oriented environment is an advantage.
  • The ability to structure complex topics, set clear priorities and effectively anchor standards across companies rounds off your profile.
Professional Competencies
  • Accounting and financial statement preparation in accordance with HGB are areas you master confidently; deep expertise in HGB consolidation and the management of consolidated financial statements is equally part of your profile.
  • LucaNet experience is a mandatory requirement; knowledge of IDL is an advantage.
  • With common ERP systems you are well familiar, e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Navision or comparable systems.
  • A sound understanding of the interrelationships between accounting, consolidation, reporting and tax requirements is a firmly established part of your profile.
  • Solid knowledge in the area of VAT and income tax matters as well as a confident understanding of transfer pricing and TP documentation distinguish you.
  • German and English are commanded by you at a minimum C1 level, both spoken and written.
Personality
  • Structured, reliable and with a high standard for quality – fachliche Tiefe is combined by you at all times with pragmatism.
  • Standards are established through professional authority and collaboration – not through unnecessary hierarchy.
  • A confident presence and strong communication skills are brought by you to exchanges with management, subsidiaries and external advisors.
  • Intercultural collaboration is something you enjoy, and you are occasionally willing to travel to our locations across Europe.
